A New Chapter for Learning at Alamar
Exciting things are taking shape at Alamar! Tolleson Union High School District recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Estrella Vista Academy, a brand-new high school that will bring innovative education in a state-of-the-art environment to the growing West Valley.
Set to open in phases beginning in Fall 2027, Estrella Vista Academy is designed to welcome up to 2,400 students and will eventually become the largest high school in the district and possibly one of the largest in the region. Located near Alamar Boulevard and Dysart Road, the 65-acre campus will sit right within the Alamar community. The campus is designed to be more than just a school—it will serve as a launchpad for future engineers, EV technicians, chefs, data analysts, and innovators.
For Alamar families, this is more than a school—it’s a meaningful investment in the future of both the community and the students who will grow up here.
Designed for the Future of Learning
Estrella Vista Academy is designed to support the evolving way students learn today—and how they’ll prepare for tomorrow. The campus will feature more than 400,000 square feet of modern educational space.
Instead of traditional hallways and isolated classrooms, there will be spaces that encourage teamwork, creativity, and real-world problem solving. Students will move easily between classrooms, shared learning environments, and outdoor courtyards that connect the campus to the natural beauty of the surrounding desert landscape. With sweeping views of the Sierra Estrella Mountains and inviting gathering spaces throughout, the campus will reflect the same sense of connection to nature that makes Alamar such a special place to live. The school will also feature an auto shop and Performance Plaza, where students will get hands-on experience.

Career Pathways That Open Doors
Estrella Vista Academy will offer a variety of career and technical educational pathways designed to help students explore their passions while building practical skills for the future.
Programs include:
- Automotive technology with an emphasis on electric vehicles
- Engineering
- Digital media
- Film and television production
- Culinary arts
- Marketing and business
- Sports medicine
Through a unique partnership with Phoenix Raceway, students interested in engineering, automotive technology, and motorsports-related careers gain hands-on exposure to the foundations of the industry—from brake and suspension systems to air conditioning and vehicle maintenance. Dedicated facilities such as an on-campus auto shop and Performance Plaza provide spaces for students to showcase their work, offering families a clear view into the hands-on learning taking place.

A Community Hub
Beyond academics, Estrella Vista Academy is being designed as a gathering place for the community. The campus will include flexible spaces for events, performances, and community engagement—helping strengthen the connection between the school and the families it serves.
With Alamar’s continued growth, the addition of a forward-thinking high school reinforces the community spirit that sets it apart—bringing together exceptional education, inviting indoor/outdoor spaces, and a strong sense of belonging.

Growing Together
The groundbreaking of Estrella Vista Academy represents more than the start of construction. It reflects the continued growth of the West Valley and the exciting future ahead for Alamar residents.
When students begin arriving in 2027, they’ll step onto a campus built to inspire curiosity, creativity, and opportunity—right at home.
